Welcome!

The Fremont County Fair is starting something new this year. We have decided to start blogging. Every week will be something new and different to read about that’s happening at the Fremont County Fair!

We are open year round, except for holidays, and host more than just the annual fair. Auctions, weddings, and various other events take place on the grounds as well. The Fremont Center, Heritage Hall, and Little Wind Center are all available to rent as well as the outdoor arenas, animal facilities, and support systems.

This week, enjoy some fun facts about the Fremont County Fair!
  •  The first official count supported Fremont County Fair was held in 1902.
  •   Largest attended event in Fremont County.
  •  2015 will mark the 102nd anniversary of the Fremont County Fair
  •  2015 is the 33rd edition of Fremont County Fair PRCA Rodeo, known as the Wind River PRCA Rodeo Roundup. Three time nominated PCRA Small Rodeo of the Year!
  • Located in central Wyoming, with the Wind River Mountains and the Wind River as natural resources and attractions.
  • Centrally located in Fremont County in Riverton.
  • One of the premier county fairs in Wyoming.
  •   Operates on 49 acres with facilities used all year round and hosts over 815 events annually in Fair Facilities.
  •   Largest showcase of youth in Fremont County; from 4-H, FFA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other individual youth in educational competitions.
  •  Hosts and provides support to the Spring Spectacular Youth Livestock Shows in early June. Serves as the host site for four major rodeos.
  •  Provides eight nights of quality entertainment annually, for the enjoyment of all family members. 
  •  Hosts exhibitors and quests from all locales in Fremont County Fair.
  •  Hosts guests from all over Wyoming, six regional states, and several foreign countries.
  • Provides competitive events for any interested Fremont County resident in OPEN CLASS, JUNIOR SHOW events for youth enrolled in 4-H/FFA programs; competition divisions for 4-H youth and FFA youth. Kids Zone for all Fremont County youth 8 years old and younger.
  • Offers 16 departments with over 500 classes to highlight the efforts of citizens of Fremont County.
  • Largest concentration of equine, livestock (5 species) and small animals on Fremont County.
  • Showcases rodeo, the official sport of Wyoming, with a Ranchers Rodeo and professional rodeo, the Wind River PRCA Rodeo Roundup.
  • Produced annually by the Fremont County Fair Board, whose volunteer members are appointed by the Fremont County Commissioners for a five year term.
  • Supported by forty volunteers, at fair time, who receive no pay for their personal efforts.
  •  The fair attracts 475 youth participants, over 600 open class exhibitors, and showcases 6,400 exhibits.
